The Moniteau Creek River Raiders August 2011 News Letter
August 6, 2011Pards and Pardettes, Greetings from the barren wasteland known as Red Rock, only 1320 miles from the location of the famous shootout at the OK Corral in Tombstone Arizona. Update on August match. Dress cool. Prairie Dawn says that optional clothing is appropriate for the match (dress cool, shorts, etc), but clothing optional dress is not appropriate. (I would agree, when you sit down on a hot gun cart with a bare bottom, strange things can happen.) We will postpone any potential work day except for local work that may be self-initiated, till September. I am in the beginning throes of budget preparation at my work, however, I still intend to take necessary time off to get over and mow the place prior to our shoot on the 14th. Would like to have some posse marshals for our shoot the week prior to Oct 8/9th, but if not, our primary team will shoot though so we can help manage the posses for our annual match. Will get more waste lime to spread around the props prior to the match. If we can get doors on the storage unit so we can store stuff inside rather than outside this year, that would be great, but we'll do what we have time to do. I think interest in our game is high, I just think that the heat factor has been detrimental to our attendance as it has with other clubs. Check out the SASS Wire, I have entered our match on the event section, as always, it helps when other club members "talk it up" and make entries on the section. Keep that in mind please. Also check out some deals from our Territorial Governor on the classified section if you appreciate BP hardware.
And remember, Goodbye, Good Luck, and may the Good LORD take a likin' to you.
